The Mill Creek Park Foundation, created in 1979, was established to honor our heritage and invest in the future.  The Foundation’s mission calls for it to help preserve the MetroParks through the purchase or improvement of land or facilities and provide educational opportunities for all to enjoy.

Gifts in any amount are welcome and are treated with care and appreciation.

Arrange a tour with us and learn more about the exciting future of your MetroParks. Contact Linda Kostka, CFRE, Development & Marketing Director, at 330-702-3000, or by email at Linda@MillCreekMetroParks.org.

Gifts to the Mill Creek Park Foundation grow in value. Your generosity helps preserve natural and historical resources, construction of trails through scenic greenways, and development of new parklands and facilities throughout all of Mahoning County.

Although we are supported by a tax levy in Mahoning County, these monies support only our day-to-day operations. Your gift provides a variety of services and programs beyond the limitations of our typical budget.

Your gift to the Mill Creek Park Foundation is a gift to our community. If you would like to see how your donation makes a
difference, call Linda Kostka, CFRE, Development & Marketing Director, at 330-702-3000 to arrange a tour of any of our facilities.

Ways to Give

Gifts may be made to the Mill Creek Park Foundation through cash donations, by credit card, appreciated securities, and bequests or other forms of estate planning.

Increase the value of your gift!  Make your check of $100 or more payable to the Youngstown Foundation Support Fund, write
Mill Creek Park Foundation in the memo section, and mail it to us. We will forward it to the Youngstown Foundation, where it will earn an additional 5%.

You may designate your gift toward general park operations, and we will use it where it’s needed most.  If you have a special interest that is near to your heart, your contribution can also be made to one of the following:

SPECIAL FUNDS

• Mindy Henning Memorial Scholarship Fund: Build the fund so it can generate an annual award of at least $500.  The award will be presented to an Outdoor or Environmental Education student in financial need.

• Ford Nature Education Center: Introduce the wonders of nature to more children and adults at the headquarters for nature education programs in the Park.

• Land Conservancy Fund: Protect our waterways, woodlands, wildlife habitats and wetlands, and help the MetroParks acquire endangered natural areas.
