Give to the MetroParks

Mill Creek MetroParks is a place of amazement. From the cascading water of Lanterman’s Falls, the solitude of the trails, the faces of children as they see animals in their natural habitat, to the breathtaking beauty of Fellows Riverside Gardens, visitors to the MetroParks experience the wonder and awe that is the “Green Cathedral” every day.

One hundred and twenty-five years ago, Volney Rogers looked toward the future and envisioned a place where the air was pure, the sunshine was bright and the shade was abundant. He saw a place for rest as well as recreation. Ever since, our community has embraced the great tradition of the MetroParks. Your gift supports those traditions. It’s a gift to the community, to your children, and their children.

The tax levy that supports the MetroParks helps cover our operating costs and the day to day maintenance of our properties and facilities. To survive and grow, we rely on the generous contributions of individuals, groups, corporations and foundations. We hope you’ll give at one of the levels listed below.

Mill Creek MetroParks Foundation

MCP Foundation logoThe Mill Creek MetroParks Foundation, created in 1979, was established to honor our heritage and invest in the future. The Foundation’s mission calls for it to help preserve the MetroParks through the purchase or improvement of land or facilities and provide educational opportunities for all to enjoy.

Gifts in any amount are welcome and are treated with care and appreciation.

Your generosity helps preserve natural and historical resources, construction of trails through scenic greenways, and development of new parklands and facilities throughout all of Mahoning County.

Although we are supported by a tax levy in Mahoning County, these monies support only our day-to-day operations. Your gift provides a variety of services and programs beyond the limitations of our typical budget.

Your gift to the Mill Creek MetroParks Foundation is a gift to our community. If you would like to see how your donation makes a difference, call Mill Creek MetroParks Administrative Office at 330.702.3000 to arrange a tour of any of our facilities.

You may designate your gift toward general park operations, and we will use it where it’s needed most. If you have a special interest that is near to your heart, your contribution can also be made to one of the following:

Partners in the Park

The many free events offered by Mill Creek MetroParks have entertained families for generations.  To ensure these popular programs remain free to the public, a partnership program that connects local businesses to the MetroParks has been developed to do just that.

In line with our 10-year strategic plan, Partners in the Park is part of a broader effort to implement a viable, comprehensive cost recovery plan for programs and services the MetroParks offers.   Businesses and organizations can participate as a Partner at a variety of levels, and the exposure our partners receive through our marketing efforts is invaluable.  Below are the events that are a part of our Partners in the Park program.  To join the program or for more detailed information, please call the Mill Creek MetroParks Administration Office at 330.702.3000.
