GRAND OPENING – Mill Creek Golf Course Practice Range

A grand opening celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 17, to formally launch the much-anticipated Mill Creek Golf Course Practice Range. The event will begin at 10:00am with welcome remarks and acknowledgement of donors to the project by Mill Creek MetroParks Executive Director Dennis Miller and golf course architect Brian Huntley. Refreshments will be served following the short program, and guests will be invited to enjoy the range.

Construction of the Practice Range began in the spring of 2012 with earth work and the removal of trees. The 18th hole on the North Course was renovated and remains one of Mill Creek’s most challenging finishing holes.

Donation opportunities are still being offered for the Practice Range, as well as the Learning Center building, which is the next phase of the project. Naming opportunities are available for both, and information can be obtained by calling Dennis Miller or Linda Kostka, Development & Marketing Director, at (330) 702-3000.

Mill Creek Golf Course was by designed by famed golf course architect Donald Ross in 1928, and features two 18-hole championship courses and over 100 bunkers. The historic Field House was built in 1929 and contains a pro shop and restaurant.
