D.D. and Velma Davis Education & Visitor Center
Since opening in 2000, the D.D. and Velma Davis Education & Visitor Center has been the centerpiece of Fellows Riverside Gardens. This architecturally intriguing, multipurpose facility serves as a hub for horticulture, programs, and special events.
The D.D. and Velma Davis Education & Visitor Center was constructed entirely through donations and given to the Mill Creek MetroParks for the community to enjoy.
The John C. Melnick, M.D. Mill Creek Park Museum highlights the history of both Mill Creek Park and Fellows Riverside Gardens. The Andrew and Carol Weller Gallery is host to a wide assortment of exhibits throughout the year.
The Maxine Antonucci Library contains collections of horticulture books for both adults and children. The Arseny Melnick Observation Tower provides breathtaking views of Lake Glacier and Fellows Riverside Gardens.
Kravitz’s Garden Cafe & Inspired Catering—serving soups, sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and specialty beverages—offers spectacular views of Lake Glacier. The gift shop, Shop in the Gardens, offers a unique, regular changing collection of gifts for all occasions.
The D.D. and Velma Davis Education & Visitor Center offers several rentable facilities suitable for weddings and other special events. Rentable facilities include Tyler Classroom, Kidston Classroom, Radius Room, Garden Cafe, and Rossi Auditorium.
More than just a “beauty spot,” the educational mission of the Gardens is achieved through offering numerous interesting classes, tours, and exhibits.
The Andrew and Carol Weller Gallery hosts a wide assortment of exhibits throughout the year.
The Maxcine Antonucci Library contains collections of horticulture books for adults and children. The volunteer librarians will assist you in locating books to answer your gardening questions or search the library catalog. Books are available for checkout to Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens members. The library offers an inviting atmosphere for adults and “Mimi’s Corner,” a special place for children.
The observation tower is a two and one-half story metal and glass structure. There is a wraparound observation deck that allows for a breathtaking view of Lake Glacier as well as Fellows Riverside Gardens. The tower is accessible by stairs and an elevator, so all visitors can enjoy the view.
This museum highlights the history of Mill Creek Park as well as Fellows Riverside Gardens.
The most beautiful place for your special event, Fellows Riverside Gardens can accommodate most any rental or wedding needs.
Kravitz Garden Café & Inspired Catering offers soups, salads, sandwiches and much more. We also offer a kids menu so the entire family can enjoy the Garden Cafe! Be sure to join us on Sunday for brunch.
