2025 Mercy Health Foundation’s AJGA Mahoning Valley Junior Tournaments Achieve Record-Breaking Impact at Mill Creek Golf Course
The Mercy Health Foundation’s American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Mahoning Valley Junior All-Star and AJGA Mahoning Valley Preview tournaments were held the week of June 23, 2025, at Mill Creek Golf Course, drawing hundreds of junior golfers and setting new records for the community.
The two tournaments welcomed 300 junior competitors from across the country and around the world, including six players who earned their spots in the Junior All-Star through a Sunday regional qualifier featuring 124 golfers. In addition to the players, the event brought together more than 100 volunteers, 40+ college coaches from across the United States, and two dozen AJGA tournament staff and interns.
The 2025 AJGA event delivered a record-setting $462,174 in economic impact for the Mahoning Valley, contributing to a cumulative total of more than $3.58 million since the tournament’s inception in 2016. This economic boost reflects visitor spending on lodging, dining, entertainment, and transportation. Since its beginning, the tournament has also raised over $74,350 for local charities and has showcased golfers representing all 50 states and 39 countries.
