2024 Ford Nature Center “Nature Things” Summer Camp
This summer, our camp theme is NATURE THINGS! The focus of this camp will be on outside experiences in our beautiful Mill Creek MetroParks. It is our belief that our children spend plenty of time in front of screens, and we want to expose them to all the beauty of the real, natural world–and there’s no better place than Mill Creek MetroParks for nature! There are three week-long sessions, and each week focuses on a unique part of nature. In all three sessions, campers will be outside for nearly all their days. Camp is for 5-9 year olds.
- Session 1: Earth Things
Campers will spend the week learning about the earth things that make up our natural world. Plants, trees, decomposers, mammals, rocks, fossils, soil, and crawling insects are just some of the things we will explore. We will also take a Geology Trolley tour of Mill Creek MetroParks.
