WINTER FUN AT MILL CREEK METROPARKS

When the snow falls, Mill Creek MetroParks transforms into a winter wonderland perfect for outdoor adventure. Whether you’re zipping down a hill on a sled or gliding across snowy trails on skis, there’s no shortage of seasonal fun to enjoy.

SLED HILL AT WICK RECREATION AREA

Grab your sled, tube, or snowboard and head to the MetroParks for some classic winter excitement! The sled hill at Wick Recreation Area is a favorite spot for families and thrill-seekers of all ages.

FACILITIES INCLUDE:

  • HOBBIT HILL

    A gentle slope reserved for children 48″ and under

  • COMFORT STATION RESTROOM

    Located at the bottom of Sled Hill a comfort station is open for visitor convenience

  • INDOOR RESTROOM

    The restrooms located inside Wick Recreation Center are open until 9 pm.

There is no charge for sledding, but be sure to bring your own sleds—rentals are not available. Sled Hill is dependent on natural snowfall.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

Experience the quiet beauty of the park in winter with cross-country skiing on scenic trails and drives throughout the MetroParks. Skiing is permitted during daylight hoursand is dependent on natural snowfall. While there are no rentals available, skiers are welcome to bring their own equipment and explore the following areas:

  • MILL CREEK GOLF COURSE
  • PAR 3 GOLF COURSE
  • EAST GOLF HIKE & BIKE TRAIL
  • EAST COHASSET HIKE & BIKE TRAIL
  • CHESTNUT HILL DRIVE
  • CALVARY RUN DRIVE
  • METROPARKS BIKEWAY
  • GORBY FAMILY CHAMPIONSHIP CROSS COUNTRY COURSE
