Each year, the Community Engagement Department hosts four themed, family-friendly seasonal events that showcase different facilities throughout Mill Creek MetroParks. These popular events are free to attend and offer a variety of fun and educational experiences for all ages. While admission is free, select items and activities are available for purchase. Thousands of visitors join us annually to enjoy the festivities and connect with nature in a meaningful way.

FARM ANIMAL BABY SHOWER

CELEBRATE SPRING AT MILL CREEK METROPARKS FARM!

Come meet the newest arrivals in the barns and see which animals are still expecting! Enjoy a day of family-friendly fun with Mill Creek MetroParks merchandise, tractor-wagon rides, animal feed cones, drinks, and a variety of concession trailers—all available for purchase.

Credit cards are accepted for most purchases, but please note: tractor-wagon rides and animal feed cones are cash only. Free parking and admission to the animal barns. Additional parking is available across the street at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

This event takes place every spring, so come celebrate the season with us!

BUG DAY

DON’T MISS BUG DAY AT MILL CREEK METROPARKS!

Get up close and personal with some of nature’s coolest creepy-crawlers at Bug Day! Explore live bug exhibits and discover the fascinating world of insects through hands-on, educational fun.

& PUMPKIN WALK AT TWILIGHT

PUMPKIN CARVING

Get into the fall spirit by helping carve pumpkins for our annual Pumpkin Walk at Twilight. Carving tools will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own. All are invited to join the fun and add their creativity to this festive event. Meet at Fellows Riverside Gardens in the back parking lot near the Cushwa Education Building. Pumpkin carving takes place each fall and is a great way to be part of a cherished seasonal tradition.

Celebrate the beauty of the season with a ‘twilight’ stroll through the glowing, pumpkin-lit paths of Fellows Riverside Gardens. As the crisp autumn air settles in, enjoy the magical atmosphere created by hundreds of carved pumpkins lighting the way. This event is free and open to the public, offering a perfect way to experience the charm of fall with family and friends.

CHRISTMAS AT THE MILL

Step into the warmth and charm of the holiday season at Lanterman’s Mill. Enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere with fire-roasted chestnuts, live artisan craft demonstrations, and a selection of unique, handcrafted gifts available for purchase. Festive entertainment will fill the air with holiday cheer, and Santa will be making a special visit to the Mill on both days of this two-day celebration.

Satisfy your seasonal cravings with delicious treats from two concession stands, and help spread the spirit of giving by bringing a new hat, scarf, or pair of mittens to hang on the Giving Tree. All donated items will help warm children and adults in need this winter.

This heartwarming holiday event is free and open to the public.
