MetroParks issues advisory on Lake Newport algae

Mill Creek MetroParks is advising park visitors to avoid recreational activities on Lake Newport until further notice due to potentially-harmful algae in the lake. Algae bloom in Lake Newport in Mill Creek MetroPark is covering between 20 and 25 percent of the lake.
