MILL CREEK SEWER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

The City of Youngstown will begin work on the Mill Creek Sewer Improvements Project, a $40 million investment to upgrade wastewater infrastructure within Mill Creek Park, starting Monday, December 29, 2025.

Construction will occur in Parts 1 and 2 over an estimated two-year period. To safely complete this work, temporary roadway and trail closures will be necessary. Detour signage will be posted, and motorists and park visitors are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time.

This project is being managed by the City of Youngstown and is not a Mill Creek MetroParks project.

CLOSURES

  • ROAD CLOSURES

    The following roadway segments will be closed during construction:

    • Tod Avenue: Irving Place to Weaver Road

    • Weaver Road: Fellows Riverside Gardens to Tod Avenue/Price Road

    • Price Road: Weaver Road to Milton Avenue

    • Calvary Run Drive: South Belle Vista to Price Road / West Glacier Drive

    • Milton Avenue: Calvary Run Road to Price Road

    • West Glacier Drive: Price Road to West Drive

    • West Drive: Birch Hill Drive to Memorial Hill Drive

  • TRAIL CLOSURES

    The following trails within Mill Creek Park will be closed during construction:

    • Calvary Run Trail

    • Old Tree Trail

    • One Way Drive Trail

    • Slippery Rock Trail
