Mill Creek MetroParks presents Winter Celebration: The Magical Woods

Beginning November 30 through December 29, 2019 the D.D. and Velma Davis Education & Visitor Center will be adorned for the annual Winter Celebration event, which is a family-friendly, admission-free event sponsored by WKBN 27 First News. This year’s theme, “The Magical Woods”, takes you to a magical land of fairy families throughout the Davis Center lobby, and discover other mystical creatures in The Enchanted Hollow. Visitors will also be able to participate in a scavenger hunt, and of course, the views of beautiful seasonal flowers on display. The annual tree walk will also be on display throughout the Davis Center where over 50 non-profit organizations display their uniquely decorated trees. Visitors can experience The Magical Woods Tuesdays – Sundays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Every Saturday from November 30 – December 28, the Gardens will be open until 7 p.m. for guests to experience Winter Nights featuring an outdoor light display highlighting winter’s beauty. Inside the Davis Center you will find Unicorn Games and crafts along with live holiday music by local musicians. Plus, find that perfect gift at the Shop in the Gardens and savor refreshments available for purchase in the Garden Cafe.

In the spirit of giving, non-perishable food item donations are being accepted for the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.
