Mill Creek MetroParks offering golf event for those with disabilities

Mill Creek MetroParks’ golf course is adding to its list of programs.

It’s called the Adaptive Golf program — a one-day event that kicks off late this summer.

Both military members injured in combat and those with permanent disabilities are welcome to participate.

If you sign up, you’ll be coached by PGA-certified instructors on the basics of golf.

The program is set for September 12.

It’s just the first of two more programs Mill Creek MetroParks hopes to hold in spring and fall of 2019. Those will be several weeks long.

Mill Creek already has adaptive tennis, softball and lacrosse programs.

Details are available on Mill Creek Park’s website or by calling 330-740-7107.
