Family Camp in the Park held August 1 – 2

Mill Creek MetroParks presents Family Camp in the Park August 1 at 9 a.m. through August 2 at 1 p.m. This fun family camping experience is structured to give your family lots of fun activities to participate in both during the day and through the evening. Enjoy nature programs and hikes, a family scavenger hunt, evening campfire, children’s outdoor story time, family games, craft activities, an early bird morning hike, and more.

Family Camp in the Park is sponsored by WFMJ/WBCB. Space is limited; register early! Each camping space is $5 (for residents of Mahoning County), $10 (for nonresidents). Each participant is $10 (resident), $15 (nonresident). Limited tent rental available for $15 per tent. Mill Creek MetroParks roads closed for Stone Arch Bridges rehabilitation

The following roads in Mill Creek Park will be closed starting Monday, July 27 for rehabilitation of two historic stone arch bridges:

  • West Drive from Dividing Sycamore to West Glacier Drive
  • Lily Pond Drive from West Drive to Birch Hill Cabin (access to Birch Hill Cabin and the Lily Pond will be available from McCollum Road)

These roads will remain closed until the project is complete in early September. For questions, please call 330.702.3000.

Mill Creek MetroParks Road Closures

The following roads in Mill Creek Park will be closed to vehicular traffic from approximately 6 – 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, for the YMCA Triathlon:

  • Price Road
  • West Glacier Drive
  • West Drive
  • Bears Den Drive
  • New Cross Drive
  • Cross Drive
  • West Cohasset Drive
  • High Drive
  • Chestnut Hill Drive
  • East Park Drive
  • Valley Drive

Always use caution when driving on MetroParks roads as many of these roads are also used by pedestrians and bicyclists. Pedestrians and bicyclists should be reminded to also use caution and be aware of vehicular traffic when on these roads.
