Mill Creek Golf Course boasts two 18-hole championship courses designed by the legendary Donald Ross, both opening to the public in 1928. Each course is par 70, offering four sets of tees ranging from 5,095 yards to 6,511 yards.The South Course features flat terrain with tree-lined fairways, while natural areas and streams come into play on five holes. Golfweek has recognized the South Course as one of America’s 30 Best Municipal Courses. The North Course winds through tall trees, with a variety of natural hazards to navigate.
With over 100 bunkers across the courses, Mill Creek Golf Course offers a challenging yet rewarding experience. As Donald Ross once said, “There is no such thing as a misplaced bunker. Regardless of where a bunker may be, it is the business of the player to avoid it.”
Set within the scenic beauty of a park, Mill Creek Golf Course offers a challenge for golfers of all skill levels. The PGA professionals and staff are committed to providing a memorable golfing experience.
The Fieldhouse, built in 1929, is home to the Golf Pro Shop and Hole #55, which serves a variety of food and beverages, including beer and wine. In winter, the course can be used for cross-country skiing.
Upstairs in the Fieldhouse, the Indoor Player Development Center features three Trackman hitting bays, an indoor putting green, a Callaway club fitting center, an Odyssey putter fitting studio, a club repair and re-gripping room, and a Donald Ross historical room.

INDOOR PLAYER DEVELOPMENT CENTER
In 2023, the second floor of the Golf Course Fieldhouse was transformed into a year-round training facility. The Indoor Player Development Center features three Trackman hitting bays, an indoor putting green, and a Callaway club fitting center. It also includes the Donald Ross Historical Room, an Odyssey putter fitting studio, and a dedicated space for club repair and re-gripping. The facility was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 8, 2024.
PRACTICE RANGE & LEARNING CENTER
Mill Creek Practice Range & Learning Center is a state of the art facility. The Practice range features eight targeted greens at varying distances to work on control and accuracy. High quality practice balls, synthetic mats and grass tees gives golfers of all levels valuable practice time.

INDOOR PLAYER DEVELOPMENT CENTER RATES
- Featuring 3 Trackman indoor golf simulators, an indoor putting green, and a club repair and re-gripping room.
- All rates are based on a 1-hour rental.
- Hours (tentative): Monday – Friday, 11 am – 7 pm, Saturday, 10 am – 7 pm and Sunday, 10 am – 6 pm. Closed holidays.
- Tee times can be made online or by calling the Golf Shop at 330.740.7112.
- All players must arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
- Maximum of 4 players per group in the simulator bays unless approved by golf staff.

Our professional staff is available to answer questions and assist in making the best buying decisions. Rental clubs are also available. DONALD ROSS: GOLF COURSE ARCHITECT
ROSS CREATED THREE DESIGN PRINCIPLES AS THE FOUNDATION OF HIS GOLF COURSE PHILOSOPY:
“Make each hole present a different problem.
So arrange it that every stroke must be made with a full concentration and attention necessary to good golf.
Build each hole in such a manner that it waste none of the ground at my disposal and takes advantage of every possibility I can see.”
Ross designed over 400 golf courses in his career. Among his masterpieces are Pinehurst #2 in North Carolina; Oakland Hills in Birmingham, Michigan; and Oak Hill in Rochester, NY. Some of Ross’ Ohio courses are Inverness in Toledo, Scioto in Columbus, Manakiki in Willoughby Hills, and Mill Creek MetroParks’ North and South Courses, which he designed in 1928. Donald Ross was a charter member and first president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. He died in Pinehurst, North Carolina, in 1948 and was elected to the Golf Hall of Fame in 1977.
